// DETAIL
Money arithmetic
Floating-point currency is a defect waiting for an audit. We use exact decimal types end to end, define rounding at the boundary, and test the awkward cases — partial refunds, multi-currency, proration — as first-class scenarios.
Auditability
Append-only event history, no destructive edits, and reports that can be regenerated from source events rather than trusted because a cache said so.
What the software surface usually looks like
Finance work is mostly dashboards, and most of them are tables — correctly so. The exception is data with a real spatial or network arrangement: exposure across a portfolio hierarchy, counterparty graphs, risk surfaces across two variables. Where that shape exists, a rendered view carries it faster than a grid, and we build it with the same 3D and visualisation practice under the same rule as everything else here — the number must be traceable to its source record, and the accessible table is never optional. The engine underneath is API and custom software work with exact arithmetic and an append-only history.
// HOW WE HELP HERE
API Development
Fast, measurable interfaces: documented, versioned, and hard to misuse by accident.
